The U.S. makes up less than 5% of the world's population yet consumes roughly 25% of the
world's resources and generates about 30% of the world's waste.
Antique dealers, consignment shops, vintage outlets, thrift stores, etc.,
offer us a way to turn around these appalling statistics. Buying used items wherever possible
is a great way to reduce our rate of consumption, while still enjoying the pleasures
of shopping.
